Motivating
your staff to do good things can be achieved with a few team building activities and exercises that will help create the kind of atmosphere that is not only conducive to productivity but also creates a feeling of camaraderie among work mates. This sense of belonging to a team as well as knowing that your co-workers are part of a team that is working towards one common goal can be a great motivator and can create the kind of productivity that not only benefits the company but everyone in it as well.
Staff motivation exercises can cover a lot of ground when it comes to getting people feel good about what they are, what their role is in the company as well as making them feel that they do belong to a group of people who are striving for one common purpose. These staff motivation exercises can be found in a few websites that feature team building as well as staff motivating strategies.
Some of the exercises that are used for these purposes are either mental or physical in nature but are all geared towards fostering a certain bond among co-workers. Some examples of staff motivation exercises include team games that are done during certain team building activities. These games often exemplify the importance of teamwork and of the value of doing things with one goal in mind. There are also staff motivation exercises that are rather extreme and tend to put trust in one another as a key element in the exercise. You can see extreme staff motivation and team building exercises like sky diving and bungee jumping on certain team building sites. These may be rather extreme forms of staff motivation and team building but there are companies who do use these means to inculcate a sense of belonging and trust in all the members of their staff.
Other staff's motivating exercises are simple prize resulting events where a member of the company gets a certain incentive for doing something that benefits the company. This kind of an exercise is usually a contest like event and may have prizes for teams or for individuals, depending on the kind of motivation exercise it is. Prizes may include trips, cash, gift checks and the like. There are also instances when the exercise itself is the prize since the staff may be taken someplace special for this event. These staff motivation exercises are there to serve a purpose and that is to make people aware that good work can and will be rewarded.
