Day 1- Review of a proposal at the Initial Investigation Gate
Project frameworks normally prescribes that any Proposal for a new project is formally written up, (now there's a novelty!), sponsored and perhaps even registered at the Initial Investigation Gate.
The key question facing you at this point is, is this proposal worth consuming resources on undertaking an initial investigation. Are the objectives compelling.
Information on costs, time frame, and impact could well be sketchy, but it should be possible to decide if the proposal fits within the current strategy.
If this is not possible, the proposal should not proceed any further
